Luan Péterson comes from Rio Grande do Sul, and during the President of Brasil's electoral campaign sang Querência Amada, (the anthem for Rio Grande do Sul) to him. President Lula thought it was fantastic and suggested that he should be on the Raul Gil program. Raul Gil thought it was fantastic that his program had been mentioned by the President and Luan was given a special slot on the program. Unfortunately his singing was awful and merely showed that Lula was as bad at judging singers as members of his government, many of which have been caught with their hands in the till this year (2006). However Luan's singing did improve enough for him to make an appearance on the DVD 'Jovens Talentos' on which he makes a reasonable interpretation of the song 'Wooly Bully' a popular hit in Brasil in the sixties. He was 9 years old when this was recorded.
